The Andhra Pradesh Joint Action Committee (AP JAC) Amaravati has said that payment of the Dearness Allowance (DA) arrears for government employees and pensioners is pending.

JAC leaders Bopparaju Venkateswarlu and  Palishetti Damodara Rao, in a statement on Tuesday, said that the arrears from July 2018 to January 2024, as well as four additional DA instalments, and their arrears, from July 2024 to January 2026, were yet to be officially announced and paid.

As per the statement, during the recent Sankranti festival, the government had disbursed the July 2018 DA arrears to pensioners and CPS employees. However, due to technical reasons such as bills not being submitted or rejected at the treasury level, lack of re-submission facility in the CFMS portal, retirement after the cutoff date of July 1, 2018, bank account mergers, and lack of Aadhaar linking, some employees and pensioners did not receive their arrears.

The JAC leaders recalled that they had submitted the issue to Finance Minister Pyyavula Keshav on January 21, 2026, and the Minister reportedly responded positively and issued instructions to the CFMS portal authorities to resolve the pending issues.

The JAC leaders said that some retired employees continue to approach the JAC regarding unpaid DA arrears of July 1, 2018.

The JAC leaders said they met Finance Secretary Alladi Gautam to reiterate the concerns and that he assured that all pending payments would be credited in April 2026.
