Namassivayam has said. Speaking at the prize distribution of cricket competition organised by BJP’s Yuva Morcha to celebrate Swami Vivekananda’s 163rd birth anniversary on Monday, he said the AINRC-BJP government had taken several measures to improve the sporting environment in UT. With the aim to improve sports, the government had bifurcated Youth Affairs and Sports from the Education Department, he said. “The Centre has actively supported the territorial administration in the development of sports by sanctioning funds. Funds have been provided for the construction of multi-purpose sporting stadiums in Puducherry and Karaikal. We are hopeful of getting more funds for the proposal to improve sports infrastructure in all constituencies,” he said. ‘Work with Dedication’ Participating in the event, BJP leader K. Annamalai urged the youth to work for the party with dedication. “You should work with sincerity without expecting any position. BJP is one party that will always recognise hard work of youth. The best example is the recognition given by the party leadership to the working president Nitin Nabin. BJP looks forward in bringing up youth to leadership position,” he said. Mr Annamalai distributed prizes to the winners of cricket competition. BJP president V. P Ramalingam, legislators and senior leaders participated.
