Former Chief Minister and YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) president Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy on Thursday said that Good Friday embodies the supreme sacrifice of Jesus Christ for humanity and serves as a timeless message of love, compassion, and forgiveness. Mr. Jagan noted that the life of Lord Jesus Christ stands as an enduring symbol of selfless sacrifice. He described Good Friday, the day of crucifixion, and Easter Sunday, the day of resurrection, as defining moments that transformed the course of human history. He emphasised that values such as love for fellow human beings, compassion for the needy, forgiveness towards adversaries, patience, and selfless living are central to the teachings of Jesus. On the occasion of Good Friday and Easter, several Christian religious leaders and pastors from across the state met Mr. Jagan at the YSRCP central office in Tadepalli and extended their greetings. They offered special prayers seeking peace, harmony, and well-being for the people of Andhra Pradesh, and conveyed their blessings to him. He also extended his greetings to the Christian community, wishing that every family is blessed with happiness, good health, and prosperity.
