Addressing presspersons at Davanagere on March 12, Head of the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, Professor Praveen J. said the convocation would be held in GM Hallamma Auditorium on GM University campus at 10.30 a.m. GM University Vice-Chancellor Prof. S. R. Shankapal will deliver the convocation address, and GMIT Principal Prof. Sanjay Pande M.B. will preside over that event. Prof. Praveen stated that students of the institution had secured various ranks in the Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) examinations. “Anusha of Biotechnology Department has secured the first rank and a gold medal, while Ramya C.Y. from the same department secured the second rank, Rinku K. secured the fourth rank, and Soukhyashree N.R. secured the sixth rank. Sanjana K. from the Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning Department secured the fourth rank, while V. Santosini from the Robotics and Automation Department secured the third rank in VTU examinations,” he said. Head of the Department of Information Science and Engineering Prof. Neelambike S. said that students of GMIT had received more than 700 placement offers from leading national and multinational companies during the year. Union Minister Dr. G.M. Siddeshwar, Shrisaila Educational Trust president G.M. Prasanna Kumar, Gayatri Siddeshwar, GM University Chancellor G.M. Lingaraju, Shrisaila Educational Trust treasurer G.S. Aneeth Kumar, and governing body members Divyananda and Rafiq are expected to participate in the convocation.
