Two lifts installed at a cost of ₹3.50 crore at Sri Swaminathaswamy temple, Swamimalai, came into operation from March 9. According to official sources, the Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowment Minister, P.K. Sekarbabu, and the Higher Education Minister, Govi Chezhiaan, came to the temple on Monday morning to inaugurate the facility.
