Generation of e-way bills to be made mandatory for transportation of sand, laterite stones

Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has made generation of e-way bills through GST portal mandatory for transportation of sand, laterite stones and other minor minerals.

In his budget speech, Mr. Siddaramaiah said the Karnataka Minor Mineral Concession Rules, 1994 has been amended to mandate the generation of e-way bills through the GST portal for the transportation of minor minerals. This measure is expected to curb royalty and GST evasion and enhance revenue realisation.
