As the Joint Committee of Trade Unions will go on a general strike in Karnataka on Thursday, demanding the repeal of the four labour codes, among other things, more than one lakh industrial workers are expected to participate in the strike across the State. The numbers may exceed two lakh workers, as the unorganised sectors have extended support to the strike, claimed trade unions.
