General Observer for Thirupparankundram inspects vulnerable polling stations

T. Sherpa, General Observer for Thirupparankundram and Tirumangalam Assembly Constituencies, visited model, vulnerable and other polling stations here on Tuesday.

He inspected the preparedness and arrangements at the polling stations in the presence of Assistant Returning Officers, Booth Level Officers and other officials.

He interacted with members of the public and a political party members present on the spot. Earlier on the day, he visited Checkkanurani with Returning Officer and team to take stock of the situation.

During the inspection, the officials were advised to maintain cleanliness in the booth premises. He advised them to adopt certain best practices in model booths as per the protocol.

He observed that garbage management was an overall issue everywhere he visited.
