A firm was fined ₹10 lakh by the Greater Chennai Corporation (GCC) for violating Clean and Safe Construction Guidelines, Commissioner J. Kumaragurubaran said. According to civic officials, inspectors found serious lapses at a construction site, including failure to adhere to mandated safety and cleanliness norms. The penalty was collected through two transactions of ₹5 lakh each on Friday.
