MOORTHY The steep rise in prices of domestic and commercial liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) cylinders due to the war in West Asia in recent weeks, has hit consumers in Tiruchi, with the city’s thriving hospitality sector expected to tighten its belt as the uncertainty over fuel supplies continues. According to recent reports, prices of domestic 14.2kg LPG cylinders rose by ₹60 while 19kg commercial cylinders have gone up to ₹4,000.
