ADILABAD The Narnoor police on Saturday seized 24 ganja (cannabis) plants from the farmland of a person at Malepur village in Adilabad district. The value of the seized ganja plants of nearly four-foot height is estimated to be around ₹2.40 lakh. Acting on a tip-off, a police team raided the farmland of M. Balaji, 44, at Malepur on Saturday afternoon. The police unearthed the ganja plants clandestinely grown amid jowar (sorghum) crops, police said. A case has been registered against Balaji under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act at Narnoor police station and further investigation is underway.
