Fynbos leading contender for Villoo C. Poonawalla Indian Derby

The four-year-old filly Fynbos, who is in excellent form, stands out as a leading contender against her rivals in the prestigious Villoo C. Poonawalla Indian Derby (Gr. 1), to be staged here on Sunday (Feb. 1) at the iconic Mahalakshmi race course.

Owing to the glanders outbreak in southern India racing centres, outstation horses will miss this year’s Indian Derby, leaving the contest open only to western India runners.

An amount of ₹50 lakhs will be added to the second combined jackpot pool of the day.

Rails will be announced one hour before the first race.
