The entire country was frantically searching for LPG cylinders due to sudden acute scarcity after the Union Government promised the people in Parliament just four days ago that there would be no fuel shortage including cooking gas for next 30 days, Tamil Nadu Assembly Speaker M. Appavu has said.

Speaking to reporters here on Wednesday after participating in International Women’s Day celebrations, Mr. Appavu said the present scarcity for cooking gas was an “artificially created demand” by the Centre for benefiting those in fuel business.
