Rugby, Feb. 17: In both Houses of Parliament yesterday the problem of finding work for some 32,000 disabled ex-service men, who are still unemployed in this country, was raised. Government cooperation was urgently solicited in an effort which is now being made to secure the final absorption of these men. A resolution suggesting that Government contractors should be confined, save in exceptional circumstances, to employers whose work-people include a percentage of disabled men, were sympathetically received by Ministers. It was stated that up to the present, efforts to secure employment of disabled men in England had resulted in three hundred seventy thousand disabled men being employed by twenty-eight thousand employees.
