The popular anime Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End is set to get a third season. The new episodes are slated to drop in October 2027. The upcoming instalment is expected to adapt the Golden Land arc, the seventh major storyline in the original manga by Kanehito Yamada and Tsukasa Abe. The narrative will revolve around on Macht, one of the Seven Sages of Destruction who served the Demon King. Different from others of his kind, Macht exhibits an interest in human behaviour. His attempts to study humanity, however, lead to catastrophic consequences. In the past, he transformed an entire city into gold, an act that ultimately drew the intervention of the Continental Magic Association, which sealed him away. Details regarding cast and crew are yet to be announced. Animated by Madhouse, the two seasons of Frieren are available on Crunchyroll.
