Rao For the convenience of students appearing for the SSC Public Examinations –2026, the Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) will facilitate free bus travel for them. In a statement on Friday, the APSRTC Executive Director (Operations) A. Appala Raju said as per the information given by the State Government Examinations Department, around 6,42,555 students will appear for the examinations in 3,415 exam centres across the state, from March 16 to April 1, 2026. To facilitate smooth travel for students from their residence to the examination centres and back, APSRTC will provide free bus travel facility for which the students will have to show their hall tickets, said Mr. Raju. He said the free bus travel facility would be allowed to students only in Ultra Palle Velugu, Palle Velugu and City Ordinary bus categories. He said the RTC staff had been instructed not to insist on bus passes from students and clarified that the free travel facility will be available only on the examination days during the period from March 16 and April 1, 2026. The facility, however, will continue even if government holidays or general holidays fall during the examination period, he said, adding that the Corporation officials will coordinate with the District Education authorities concerned and operate adequate number of buses as per the requirement.
