The title race in the Fantasy 606 mini-league is wide open with Statman Dave having edged into a three -point lead after his score of 93 points in gameweek 33 – Jakub Kiwior, Marcus Rashford and Matheus Cunha were the real difference-makers for him and now all of us are putting the Free Hit chip into play in gameweek 34.

Like a lot of managers out there we are going to be targetting the same fixtures – Liverpool vs Tottenham, Newcastle vs Ipswich, Wolves vs Leicester – so it’s about how you can try and differentiate your team a little, particularly if you’re chasing.

Captaincy is one way of doing that – Statman Dave says it’s going to be Mo Salah for him on a potentially historic afternoon at Anfield but I quite fancy Alexander Isak with Newcastle striving for Champions League qualification.

It’s a pretty safe bet that Cole Palmer will start Chelsea’s home game against Everton but Statman Dave was adamant in the Fantasy 606 podcast that he should be avoided having failed to score in his last 16 games in all competitions. Chris Sutton would say he’s due!

Chris also had some dramatic news on the podcast this week. He’s stood down his loyal assistant manager Ollie to replace him with another one of his sons, Harry, who’s currently top of the Sutton family mini-league. Harry has a chance to audition for the job by seeing what he can do on the Free Hit this week.
