Four persons were arrested by the city police for allegedly abducting a 19-year-old youth from Koyambedu and assaulting him with wooden logs. Police said the victim, Sasikumar, 19, a native of Srimushnam in Cuddalore district, was studying at a college in Maduravoyal since 2024. During that time, he became acquainted with a woman named Rithika alias Rithu through Instagram. The two later entered into a relationship and frequently went out together.
