The Chunchupalli police on Thursday arrested four members of an inter-State ganja smuggling gang and seized 408 kg ganja from a container lorry near Chunchupalli in Bhadradri Kothagudem district on Thursday.

The contraband, worth around Rs 2.05 crore, was seized while being smuggled from neighbouring Andhra Pradesh to Maharashtra, police said. The contraband was found concealed in 16 packets under the load of coconut husk in the container lorry during a vehicle checking drive.

Two of the accused hail from Odisha and two others from Maharashtra and Uttar Pradesh, respectively, they added.
