Four people, including a toddler, were injured after they jumped from the first floor of a building in northeast Delhi’s Gokal Puri area to escape a fire that broke out in the early hours of Sunday (March 29, 2026), officials said. Eight people were rescued from the six-storey building that was engulfed in heavy smoke after two scooters and a motorcycle parked on the ground floor caught fire, Delhi Fire Services (DFS) officials said.
