Four persons were arrested by the KPHB Police for allegedly selling narcotic substances near JNTU Metro Station in the early hours of Monday (March 30). Ganja, MDMA and LSD were seized from their possession during the operation.

Bendi Sai Bhanu Prakash, 27, Saripalli Anoop Kumar alias Pandu, 27, Shobith Alenmani, 25, and Ripunjay Jodha, 29, were apprehended near Ratnadeep Super Market in KPHB Colony.

Police said the raid was conducted between 12.30 a.m. and 1.30 a.m. following specific information. The suspects were found moving in a suspicious manner near a scooter and were intercepted. On search, officers recovered 150 grams of marijuana, 4 grams of MDMA and nine LSD blot papers.

During interrogation, the accused allegedly confessed to procuring the drugs from Bengaluru through a contact identified as Abhishek and selling them in Hyderabad at higher prices. The contraband was reportedly transported through courier services, while payments were made using digital platforms.

Police said another associate, identified as Anirudh, was also involved in distribution and efforts are under way to trace him and others linked to the supply network.

Five mobile phones and the scooter used in the offence were seized. The contraband was documented and secured as material evidence in the presence of panch witnesses.

Further investigation is underway.
