Four held for illegal sale of banned injections in Malakpet

Four persons have been booked by the Chaderghat police for the illegal procurement and sale of Mephentermine Sulphate injections, a Schedule H drug, following a raid conducted in Old Malakpet on March 22.

The accused have been identified as Shaik Sameer, 23, Waseem Khan, 22, Mazhar, and Asim, a resident of Delhi. Police said Sameer and Waseem were apprehended at the scene while allegedly attempting to flee, while the other two were identified during the investigation.

According to police, following a tip-off about the illegal sale of the injections, senior officers from Chaderghat police raided the location. During the search, officers seized 20 vials of Mephentermine Sulphate injections, three mobile phones and a two wheeler bearing registration number TG 11 B 2798.

Preliminary investigation revealed that the accused were procuring the injections through courier from Asim in Delhi and selling them illegally in the city along with Mazhar.
