The M.K.B. Nagar police have arrested four persons for allegedly hurling petrol bombs at the house of a functionary of the Amma Makkal Munnetra Kazhagam (AMMK) on Thursday. Balamurugan, 40, a resident of Indira Gandhi Nagar in Vyasarpadi, runs an oil sales business and is the Perambur East Zonal Secretary of the AMMK. He lives in the house with his elder brother Ravi and other family members. On Wednesday night, when a gang created a ruckus near his house, his family tried to chase them away. In the melee, one of the gang members was beaten up.
