Sunil Kumar Naik, Inspector General of Fire Services of Bihar, to appear before the Investigation Officer (IO) in the case pertaining to alleged custodial torture of K. Raghu Ramakrishna Raju on March 23, while allowing him to visit his ailing mother in a Patna hospital. As far as the maintainability of Mr. Naik’s anticipatory bail plea is concerned, the court has posted it to March 18 for hearing both sides. Mr. Naik had claimed that he was arrayed as A-7 with mala fide intentions when he only conducted a preliminary inquiry into the sedition case registered against Mr. Ramakrishna Raju, who was then MP, while he was on deputation as DIG of CID in 2021.
