The vehicle of former Minister Narasimha Naik that was involved in an accident at Yadgir in early hours on Saturday. Former Minister Narasimha Naik (Raju Gowda) escaped unhurt in a road accident at Basaveshwar Gunj Circle in Yadgir City in the early hours on Saturday. According to sources, Mr. Naik was travelling in his SUV from Hyderabad to Shorapur when an ash-laden tipper hit his vehicle from the rear after the driver lost control while negotiating a speed breaker. After the incident, Mr. Naik was rushed to a private hospital for a check-up and later continued his journey in another vehicle. “I am safe and unhurt with the blessings of Kodekal Basavanna, my parents, and the people of the constituency,” Mr. Naik told The Hindu over phone. The Yadgir Town police visited the spot and inspected the scene.
