The Kerala High Court on Wednesday appointed V.G. Arun, a former judge of the Kerala High Court, as the chairperson of a high power committee to implement the Sabarimala master plan. The appointment comes in the wake of the passing away of its chairperson S. Siri Jagan, a former judge of the High Court, in January. In view of his demise, the committee was unable to effectively carry out its functions. Having considered the entire facts and circumstances, Mr. Arun is appointed as the panel’s chairperson, the court said.
