A large-scale land fraud racket involving forged documents was unearthed in Brindavan Colony of Narsingi, where unsuspecting buyers were duped into purchasing disputed and vacant lands.

According to the police, the fraud revolves around lands linked to late P.V. Kutumbarao, over which civil disputes are currently pending before the High Court between his heirs and the Urban Land Ceiling Authority. Taking advantage of the legal ambiguity and the fact that several parcels remain vacant, certain individuals fabricated documents claiming that the lands had been sold by Kutumbarao or his family members during the 1960s and 1970s.
