A forest guard was killed after a tractor-trolley carrying illegally-mined sand allegedly ran him over when a team of forest personnel was on patrolling in Madhya Pradesh’s Morena district on Wednesday (April 8, 2026), police said. According to the police, the incident took place around 6 a.m. on National Highway-552 near Ranpur village under Dimni police station area when four forest department personnel intercepted a tractor laden with sand during patrolling. The tractor-trolley was carrying the sand mined from the Chambal river.
