Chandrababu Naidu launching Sankranthi festivities at Naravaripalle near Tirupati on Thursday. | Photo Credit: Special Arrangement Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu reiterated that the Andhra Pradesh government is pursuing focused reforms to transform the state into a knowledge hub, with a long-term vision of achieving Swarna Andhra by 2047. Speaking to the media at Naravaripalle, his native village in the Chandragiri assembly constituency, near here on Thursday (January 15, 2026), on the occasion of Sankranti festivities, Mr. Naidu observed that clearly defined goals were guiding the State policies to raise incomes and improve living standards across communities. Emphasising tradition, the Chief Minister said Sankranti symbolises gratitude to elders and reverence for nature, while the harvest season reflects the prosperity of farmers. He said the government is prioritising inclusive growth through the P-4 initiative, noting that wealth has meaning only when it translates into a better quality of life. Nearly 10 lakh people have been covered under P-4 so far, he said. Mr. Naidu announced the statewide implementation of the Sanjeevani project this year, under which comprehensive health records will be created for every citizen. He said greater thrust would be given to solar energy, with solar equipment to be provided to all pump sets under the KUSUM scheme, enabling surplus power to be used for vehicle charging. The Chief Minister highlighted that natural farming is being promoted, with jeevamrutham sprayed through drones, and anganwadi workers trained under the Care and Grow programme to identify childhood health issues early. Tirupati will be developed as a wedding destination, with encouragement for homestays and a makeover of Aviral Cheruvu. Amaravati, Visakhapatnam and Tirupati will be developed as megacities.M Mr. Naidu said land records will be strengthened using blockchain technology and land disputes resolved by 2027. Later, the Chief Minister, along with his family members, took part in the Sankranthi festivities, followed by special pujas at the local Nagalamma temple. His spouse, Nara Bhuvaneshwari, Minister Nara Lokesh, MP Sri Bharath and Nara Devnash and senior leaders of the Coalition parties were present. Naidu further garlanded the statues of his parents at Naravaripalle.
