The flying squad officials of the Election Commission has seized three gold bars weighing 517 grams from a man near Sowcarpet after he failed to produce valid documents during a vehicle check on Wednesday. While they were conducting vehicle checks on Vallalar Road in New Washermanpet, near a marriage hall, officials stopped Kaushik Jain, a resident of Subramani Street in Parry’s Corner, who was travelling on a two-wheeler. Upon checking, they found 517 grams of gold, estimated to be worth ₹75 lakh, in his possession without supporting documents.
