Fliers can breathe easy as CM inaugurates 120 anti-mist sprays at IGI Airport

DelhiChief Minister Rekha Gupta inaugurated 120 anti-mist spray systems, installed by GMR Group, at the premises of Indira Gandhi International Airport on Saturday. 

The initiative will ensure a clean and healthy environment for air passengers, as per the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO). 

Real-time monitoring

The CM said the Delhi government has already installed mist spray systems on major roads across the Capital and at 143 elevated Metro stations. Besides, the real-time monitoring network has been expanded to 46 stations, making it the largest such network in any city in the country. Through the ‘Vayu Rakshak’ initiative, strict compliance with pollution control norms is also being ensured, she added. 

The CM also unveiled a statue of K.B. Hedgewar, the first sarsanghchalak of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) at Dr. Hedgewar Arogya Sansthan in Shahdara.

On January 29, projects worth ₹728 crore were approved for trans Yamuna region in the first meeting of the reconstituted Trans Yamuna Area Development Board (TYADB).

The CM said through this allocation, rapid development of roads, drainage systems and other infrastructure in the Yamuna Nagar region is being undertaken. She clarified that both the policy and intent of the government are dedicated to public service, and public funds are being utilised solely for the welfare of the people.
