The Udupi police have arrested five persons for allegedly attempting to overpower policemen and also cheating people in cricket betting. The accused have been identified as Sudarshan Shetty, 29, of Nada village in Kundapura taluk; Kartavya Shetty, 27, of Herooru village in Kundapura taluk; Arun Shetty, 29, of Mooduru village in Byndoor taluk; Tejas, 28, of Belanje village of Hebri taluk, and Prajwal Shetty, 29, of Shiroor village in Byndoor taluk.
