Five individuals were arrested by the Attapur police on Wednesday following a clash between cattle transporters and a group of protestors, alleged ‘gau rakshaks’. Police registered two separate cases in connection with the incident. The first case was booked against the driver of a container lorry and two others who were transporting cattle from Maharashtra to Shadnagar. They were charged under the Telangana Prevention of Cow Slaughter Act and the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act.
