Chennai Metro Rail Limited (CMRL) has received the final provisional approval from the Commissioner of Metro Railway Safety (CMRS) for operating trains in the first stretch of phase 2 project from Poonamallee Bypass to Vadapalani on Saturday, but with certain conditions. One of the conditions laid out for the operation of trains on Porur Junction-Vadapalani stretch include the completion of the construction of deck slabs on the double-decker corridor (corridor 5).
