Image for representational purposes only. | Photo Credit: The Hindu A major fire broke out at a chemical solvent industry unit in Ram Reddy Nagar in Jeedimetla, Hyderabad, on Thursday (April 9, 2026) morning, triggering an extensive firefighting operation. No casualties or injuries were reported in the incident. According to Fire control officials, a distress call was received at 7:28 a.m., following which four fire tenders were rushed to the spot. Fire engines from Sanathnagar, Secunderabad, Kukatpally and Cantonment were deployed to contain the blaze. Firefighting personnel are on the ground and continuing efforts to douse the flames.
