The Amruthahalli police on Saturday (January 3, 2025) registered an FIR in connection with posters claiming that Karnataka Revenue Minister Krishna Byre Gowda is missing, which were pasted across public spaces in the city.

The complaint was lodged by an Assistant Engineer of Battarayanapura sub-division, alleging that unidentified persons had pasted posters on roadside transformers, thereby defacing public property and damaging the city’s aesthetics.

According to the complaint, the act also amounts to a violation of High Court orders prohibiting the defacement of public property. The posters were allegedly put up and videos of the act were recorded and circulated on social media, which went viral.

Taking note of the complaint, police registered an FIR against the persons responsible for pasting the posters and sought appropriate legal action against those involved. “Further investigation is underway to identify and trace the individuals behind the posters and the viral video,” the police said.
