District Election Officer and Collector V.R. Subbulaxmi released the final electoral roll at the Collectorate office in Vellore on Monday. The final electoral roll after the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) exercise for Vellore, Ranipet, Tirupattur and Tiruvannamalai districts has recorded a total of 38,91,032 voters, covering 21 Assembly constituencies in these districts.y In Vellore, District Election Officer and Collector V.R. Subbulaxmi released the final electoral roll on Monday in the presence of representatives of recognised political parties by Election Commission of India (ECI). Among various constituencies in these districts, Chengam (Tiruvannamalai) has the highest number of 2,66,629 voters, followed by Sholinghur (Ranipet) with 2,56,118 voters and Tiruvannamalai has 2,47,309 voters. Vellore constituency has the lowest at 1,98,722 voters, followed by Arakkonam in Ranipet district with 1,99,165 voters and K.V. Kuppam in Vellore district with 2,07,382 voters. The voter counts for other constituencies in Vellore district are Katpadi (2,15,751 voters), Anaicut (2,27,645 voters) and Gudiyatham (2,38,505 voters). Some of the major Assembly constituencies in these districts, include Arcot (2,43,565 voters), Vaniyambadi (2,40,220 voters), Ambur (2,12,631 voters) and Jolarpet (2,33,830 voters). In Tiruvannamalai, Arani has a total of 2,53,022 voters, Cheyyar has 2,38,283 voters, Vandavasi 2,11,811 voters, Polur 2,32,426 voters, Kalasapakkam 2,30,766 voters and Kilpennathur 2,38,913. Most of the Assembly constituencies have recorded a higher number of women voters than men. The final electoral roll will be available for public viewing at all taluk offices and polling stations in these districts.
