The Department of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare and Puducherry State Horticulture Development Society has publicised the list of farmers eligible for a subsidy scheme to help set up vermicompost tanks and vermicompost beds for horticultural farmers under the organic farming scheme of the National Horticulture Mission. A press note from N.K. Shanmugavelu, Joint Director of Agriculture (Horticulture), said the list of names of eligible farmers who have applied for the scheme for setting up vermicompost tanks and vermicompost beds at subsidised rates has been put up on the notice board of the Farmers’ Help Centres under their respective areas in Puducherry till February 23. Any objections to this list has to be submitted in writing to the office of the Additional Director of Agriculture (Horticulture) at the Botanical Gardens by February 23, the press note said.
