ASR District Collector A.S. Dinesh Kumar on Thursday (February 12) announced that drone services are now being made available to farmers in the district. Speaking at the poster launch of the facility, Mr. Dinesh Kumar said that farmers can quickly spray fertilisers and pesticides uniformly on their fields using drones. They can book drones by contacting a call centre or through a mobile app, just like booking a cab. This system will help save time and labour costs, he said.
