Farmers across Haryana staged demonstrations on Saturday (April 11, 2026) against the new set of rules imposed by the Haryana government for the procurement of farm produce. The protests were held in response to a call by the Samyukt Kisan Morcha (SKM) to symbolically block roads across the State, demanding the immediate withdrawal of the “coercive” measures. Peaceful sit-ins were staged on national highways for four hours, but ambulance and other emergency vehicles were allowed to pass freely.
