A 50-year-old farmer died while undergoing treatment after he was hit by an autorickshaw near a sub-station at Sardar Nagar in Maheshwaram mandal on February 19. The incident occured when Amboji Yadaiah, 50, was returning home on his scooter from his agricultural field when an autorickshaw allegedly hit his vehicle from behind. “The auto was reportedly driven in a rash and negligent manner. Following the impact, Yadaiah fell onto the road and sustained a head injury with bleeding. He was rushed to a private hospital in Thukkuguda and later to a private hospital at BN Reddy Nagar, where he succumbed to injuries on Sunday. Based on CCTV footage collected along the route, police identified the autorickshaw and its driver as Arshad. The vehicle has been seized for inspection by a motor vehicle inspector. The Pahadi Shareef police booked a case and investigation is underway.
