The police seized explosive materials, which were being illegally transported in Puttashetty Doddi village in Kollegal Rural Police Station limits in Chamarajanagar district on Sunday. Acting on credible information, the assistant sub-inspector of Kollegal Rural Police Station, N. Cheluvaraju, seized the explosive materials and the vehicle in which they were being transported. The explosive materials, which were being transported without a licence, were allegedly intended for fishing in Cauvery river, a statement by the police said. Two persons identified as Anil Kumar, 30, and Vijaykumar, 25, have been arrested in this regard, the statement added.
