People of Tamil Nadu who have witnessed the State’s holistic development under Chief Minister M.K. Stalin in the past five years, should ensure the continuation of ‘Dravidian Model 2.0’ government for more welfare schemes and development projects, Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin has appealed. Addressing a meeting held in Palayamkottai on Thursday, Mr. Udhayanidhi said Tamil Nadu had registered unprecedented 11.90% GDP growth under the able administration of Mr. Stalin to take Tamil Nadu to the top spot in the entire country. Besides creating social and industrial infrastructure across the State for all-round development and introducing a range of welfare schemes, the rural economy had been stabilised by strengthening the self-help groups by giving them loans to the tune of ₹1.20 lakh crore since 2021 for their business ventures.
