A team of officials led by Mysuru Tahsildar K.M. Mahesh Kumar cleared the encroachment of 6.10 acres of government land in Survey No. 4 at Kurubarahalli village, located in Kasaba Hobli, Mysuru, and restored the land to government possession.

Acting on directions from higher authorities, a joint operation was carried out under the leadership of the Tahsildar, involving revenue officials and urban land survey authorities. During the operation, the encroachment was removed. “The land has been formally taken back under government control,” according to an official note issued by the Tahsildar.

The action comes in the backdrop of concerns raised by T.S. Srivatsa, Krishnaraja MLA, who had alleged encroachment of land at K.C. Layout near the foothills of Chamundi. The MLA had demanded that the encroachment be cleared within 48 hours, by Sunday, claiming that official maps identified the land “as part of a lake area” but the said land had been fenced.
