Elgi Equipments Limited has inaugurated a vacuum pump assembly line in Coimbatore as a part of its efforts to expand into the vacuum solutions space. The assembly line builds on Elgi’s multi-year technology licensing agreement with D.V.P. Vacuum Technology S.p.A., Italy, under which Elgi manufactures, assembles, tests, and markets D.V.P.’s proprietary vacuum products in India. Jairam Varadaraj, Managing Director of Elgi, said in a press release the vacuum pump assembly line is a significant step in Elgi’s journey to build globally competitive industrial solutions from India. Anvar Jay Varadaraj, Chief Operating Officer, Elgi Equipments, added, “The global vacuum pump market continues to grow steadily, driven by rising demand across manufacturing, packaging, pharmaceuticals, electronics, and process industries.
