The Karnataka Panchayat Raj has on Tuesday announced the election schedule for the Bengaluru Urban District Planning Committee, which includes three urban local bodies: Hebbagodi City Municipal Council, Jigani Town Municipal Council, and Chandapura Town Municipal Council. As per the notification, nomination papers can be filed from January 9 to January 22, 2026, between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. at the District Panchayat Hall. Scrutiny of nominations will take place on January 23, and the last date for withdrawal of nominations is January 27. If voting is required, polling will be held on February 4, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. followed by counting of votes at 4 p.m. in the District Panchayat Hall. The election process will be completed by February 5, according to officials from the Bengaluru Urban District Panchayat and the Chief Executive Officer.
