A 61-year-old woman was stabbed to death by miscreants in Ramadugu mandal headquarters in Karimnagar district on Thursday. The deceased was identified as E. Gouramma. According to sources, miscreants barged into Gouramma’s house in broad daylight and attacked her with knives, leaving her grievously injured. She succumbed to stab injuries on the spot. The gory murder took place just three days before her elder son Mahesh’s marriage and sent shockwaves in Ramadugu Mahesh was away from home to distribute wedding cards when the murder took place. The identity of the assailants and the motive behind the murder is yet to be established. The Ramadugu police have registered a case and a detailed investigation is underway.
