Karunakaran Environmentalist Foundation of India (EFI), a voluntary organisation dedicated to environment conservation, has launched a social media campaign titled ‘Blue Green Clean Election’, calling upon voters to post short videos urging candidates to prioritise protection of waterbodies and nature conservation. With a goal to have citizens raise environmental concerns with Assembly election candidates, the campaign invites residents across the State to encourage political parties and canidates to prioritise nature conservation in their poll promises — be it waterbodies restoration, waste management or clean air.
