Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar, during his visit to Puducherry to review Assembly election preparations, highlighted the data showing more women electors than male voters. “It is highly commendable that Puducherry has more women electors in all constituencies. The Commission feels happy to know about the trend,” he said at a meeting with officials to review the preparations for 2026 Assembly polls.
