In a surprise check conducted by the Department of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Police at the sub-registrar office in Kalugumalai on Thursday, the police seized ₹4,48,500 in unaccounted cash. Acting on a tip off that various irregularities were taking place at Kalugumalai Sub Registrar office, a team led by DVAC Deputy Superintendent of Police Peter Paul Durai along with other police personnel and Inspection Cell Officer R.
